Open Crafting Class – The West Falls/Colden library welcomes anyone with a transportable craft to meet at our library on Friday mornings between 10 am – 12 pm to work on their craft. Registration is not required.
PRE-SCHOOL STORY HOUR – The West Falls/Colden Library hosts a story hour each Thursday for children ages 3 – 5 years old from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Bring your children, grandchildren or children you babysit. No charge. Registration is appreciated by calling the library at 652-5544.
The WestFalls-Colden Library is hosting a Book Discussion of Grandma Gatewood’s Walk by Ben Montgomery. Join us to learn about this remarkable woman and her inspiring story of walking the entire Appalachian Trail. FREE. Tuesday, November 9 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Register by calling 652-5544.
November 13 The West Falls- Colden Community Library is holding a NY State Pistol Training Class, presented by Cheryl Schenne from 10 AM – 1 PM. Participants must register with her directly by calling 716-222-4147. The cost for the 3 hour class is $50 per person and is available for ages 17 and up.
Books are presorted and priced to sell. Most items are $1.00 and under. Children’s books are only .25 cents. Many DVDs, music CDs, and almost new items are available. Antique and collectible books are priced individually. Boxes and bags will be provided by the library or you may bring your own. A $5.00 Box Sale begins Friday, October 15th. The $2.00 Box Sale runs from Thursday, October 21st until the end of the sale.
The Basket Raffle will feature donations from the public and many local businesses. Tickets are sold during all library open hours throughout the month of October. Tickets are $5.00 per sheet or 5 sheets for $20.00 (cash or check only).
All proceeds will benefit the Boston Free Library. Funds raised during the event support the maintenance of the historic building and help the library continue to provide free programming for all ages. Future plans include the expansion of outdoor programming with the construction of a pavilion.

Evening hours are changing at the West Falls Library. Starting May 1st, the library will open at 6:30 and close at 8:30 on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
