The West Falls –<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Thursday, October 15 6PM Learn about Bees <\/strong>– Join Chevan Taylor<\/strong> from Springbrook Farms<\/strong>, a locally owned honey business to learn about the many benefits of honey, pollen, and healthy bee populations, and Katie Skulski<\/strong> from BB7 Buffalo <\/strong>to learn about how locally sourced beeswax is used to create handcrafted products. Products will be available to purchase. No charge<\/p>\n

Writing Club\u00a0<\/strong>at the West Falls-Colden Community Library,<\/strong> 1966 Davis Road, West Falls. Meets on Fridays at 10:30 AM, September 11 & 25, Oct. 9 & 23, Nov. 13, Dec. 11 and Jan. 8 & 22. Are you an aspiring or seasoned writer? Join this informal gathering of adults who enjoy writing. Bring what you have been working on to share with the group. Fall Activities 2026 (11)<\/a><\/p>\n

Hello Boston Free Library Supporters,<\/p>\n

This October, the Friends of the Boston Library will be hosting their Annual Book Sale <\/em>at the Boston Free Library, located at 9475 Boston State Road, Boston NY. The Book Sale will take place from Saturday, October 10th<\/sup> through Saturday, October 17th<\/sup><\/strong> during regular library hours.<\/p>\n

Books are presorted and priced to sell. Many DVDs, music CDs, and almost new items are available. Most items are $1.00 and under and children\u2019s books are only $0.25. Antique and collectible books are priced individually. Boxes and bags will be provided by the library or you may bring your own. On Friday, October 16th<\/sup> you can fill a box for $5.00. On Saturday, October 17th<\/sup> you can fill a box for just $2.00.<\/p>\n

All proceeds will benefit the Boston Free Library. Funds raised during the event support the maintenance of the historic building and help the library continue to provide free programming for all ages.<\/p>\n

Other activities at the Boston Free Library this fall include monthly craft programs for all ages and weekly Preschool Story Time on Mondays or Thursdays at 11:00 AM. The library is also hosting Fall Gardening<\/em> on October 2nd\u00a0at 3:00 PM, Kids Yoga<\/em> on October 3rd at 11:00 AM, Autumn Tree I.D.<\/em> on October 5th\u00a0at 6:00 PM, Painted Pumpkins <\/em>on October 15th\u00a0at 4:00 and 5:30 PM, Lego Club<\/em> on October 19th\u00a0at 5:30 PM, and Chess Club<\/em> on October 22nd\u00a0at 5:30 PM. Check out the library\u2019s Facebook page, website and calendar for details and for additional events being added.<\/p>\n

The Boston Free Library has an ever-expanding Library of Things including yard games, a metal detector, digital radon detector, trail camera, outdoor projector, film and slide converter devices, a New York State Parks Pass, and much more!\u00a0 The library has a 3D printer, Cricut Maker Machine, laminator, Epson printer and paper shredder available for in-house use.<\/p>\n

The library is also in the process of installing a Native Plant Educational Garden space thanks to the Rural Library Grant powered by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and coordinated by the Western New York Library Resources Council and Rochester Regional Library Council.<\/p>\n
